ZINEFEST TWENTY TEN!



Auckland Zinefest - back for a second edition.

Auckland zine makers, zine lovers, and DIY self publishers can get together for a free event we hope to be bigger and better than last year's! Featuring a whole bunch of fresh talent, as well as the return of zine veterans too.

Featuring a zine market upstairs in St Kevins Arcade, and free workshops and talks downstairs in Wine Cellar, throughout the day.

Talks by long-time zine maker from Wellington Bryce Galloway of Incredibly Hot Sex With Hideous People fame "Zines, Scenes, and the Economy of Means"; and Richard Cooke who will be comparing/contrasting his work with both underground zines and commercial magazines.

Also featuring a paper making workshop by Tes Clark from Cross Street Studios; "Fan Letters to Fan Zines" workshop with Tessa Stubbing; and Steven Lyons will be presenting a workshop on "Collaborative Creation and Improvisation."

There will also be a collaborative zine-making workshop throughout the day, screen-printing facilities, the Cross Street Zine Library on display, as well as "Zine of the Fest" award to be announced on the day.

Zinefest runs from 11am - 4pm.

After party to be announced soon - after party will be held at Wine Cellar and Whammy Bar, entry is free from around 7pm.
